Sunday Bloody Funday: Bloody Mary Competition at Local 616
Local 616 will host the most intense (yet enjoyable) Sunday Funday event in recent memory. Beginning at noon, the downtown bar will present Iron Mary, an Iron Chef-style Bloody Mary competition.
The event will feature 16 local bartenders who will compete to find out whose Bloody Mary is the Holy City’s best. The winner will be chosen by a panel of celebrity judges. Paul Roof, a local celeb in his own right, will Emcee the event.
During the competition, attendees can enjoy an all-you-can-eat oyster roast (courtesy of Local 616) and live music from Joel Hamilton. Admission is $20 and includes access to the oyster roast and a Local 616 Bloody Mary.
Proceeds will support We Are Family, an organization that provides support and leadership development opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex, (LGBTQI) and straight ally youth.
