Men – Throw on Those High Heels for the “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” Fundraiser

My Sister’s House will host the 2014 Tri-county Walk A Mile in Her Shoes event on Saturday, October 11th at the Park Circle Community Center in North Charleston. The walk starts at 10:30 am.
Organizers are looking for male volunteers to “march against domestic violence and sexual assault – while wearing women’s high-heeled shoes.” All participants should bring their own shoes.
Proceeds from the event will benefit My Sister’s House, which directly helps victims of domestic violence and their children.
Tickets are $25 for individuals and $20 each for a group of 5 or more. For tickets and/or more information, click here.
At the conclusion of the walk, organizers will hold “Man to Man: Speaking Out Against Domestic Violence”, a domestic violence awareness and education event. The free gathering will include a guest speaker, educational displays, children’s activities, prizes, and more.
