2nd Annual Rainbow Run 5K Set For November 16th

“After careful evaluation and unforeseen circumstances, Charleston Pride has announced that the Nov 16 Charleston Rainbow Run 5K will be rescheduled for a later date in early 2015. Our mission is to provide top-notch events to our community and we are working with the City of North Charleston to determine another date for this event.”

Charleston Pride recently announced that their second annual Charleston Rainbow 5k Run will be held on Sunday, November 16th at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. The festivities start at 9 am.

The event is a 5K Walk/Run/Bike race that benefits Charleston Pride. The funds will help further the group’s mission to educate, commemorate, and celebrate equality in the Lowcountry. They also assist with handling crisis intervention and suicide prevention among youth who identify as LGBT or question their sexuality.

Participants of all ages are encouraged to dress up and participate in the race. The $35 entry fee nets participants a spot in the race, an official Rainbow Run T-shirt, and the opportunity to win prizes by finishing in the top three running categories.
