Inaugural Folly Beach Jazz Festival Scheduled for Next Weekend

The inaugural Folly Jazz Festival will be held throughout Folly Beach on Saturday, November 1st and Sunday, November 2nd. The event is free to attend.

The celebration will include 14 local and regional jazz acts on multiple stages. Here’s a look at the two-day schedule:

Saturday, November 1

Folly River Park Stage

• 11 am – Joe Clarke and his 8 piece Swing Band
• 1 pm – The Dave Morgan Trio
• 3 pm– Southern Fried Jazz Band
• 5 pm– The Furman University Jazz Ensemble

The Grill & Island Bar

• 12 pm – The V-tones
• 2 pm– Eric Penrod Trio
• 4 pm– Bobbie Storm and Friends
• 6 pm– Duda Lucena

Folly Beach Pier

• 8 pm – Big Band on Folly Pier, Don Edwards and Ovations  (This show does require tickets – click here to purchase tickets)

Sunday, November 2

Folly River Park Stage

• 1 pm – Charlton Singleton Quartet
• 3 pm – The Charleston School of the Arts Big Band
• 5 pm – Four Horns, 4 generations of Teachers and students performing together. Featuring Don Edwards, Jon Thornton, Ronnie Ward & David Carter

The Grill and Island Bar

• 2 pm – Jazz on the Edge All-stars
• 4 pm – Oscar Rivers Jazz featuring Kat Keturah
• 6 pm – Celebration Jam – open Jam with all musicians
