Two Small Earthquakes Recorded Near Summerville this Morning
***UPDATE, 11:02 am: The USGS now says a smaller earthquake was recorded 10 minutes prior to the 2.2-magnitude tremor. The first quake registered as a 1.8-magnitude.

A small earthquake was recorded near Summerville this morning. According to the United States Geological Survey, the tremor occurred around 8:26 am and registered as a 2.2-magnitude quake.
It was about 5 miles south of Summerville, and 5 miles southwest of Ladson.
