VANtastic Community & Food Fundraiser on Saturday
On Saturday, January 24th, Fresh Future Farm, an inner-city farm in North Charleston, will host the “VANtastic Community & Food Fundraiser” at Holy City Brewing. The event will run from noon until 4 pm.The group is trying to raise money for a van to haul inventory and offer free rides to customers. Fresh Future Farm “leverages healthy food and grocery products to create socially just economic development in North Charleston .”
Chef BJ Dennis will be at the event to roast a full hog and make some Lowcountry sides. Attendees can enjoy the food with a suggested donation of $8 per plate. The menu includes:
Choice of Meat & 3 (or 3 vegetarian sides)
- Roasted Pig
- Chimichurri Pasta Salad
- Collard greens
- Chicken Rice
- Vegetarian Soup Bunch
- Sweet Potato Bread – Dessert
Extras include:
