“Biscuits & Jam” Outdoor Concert and Pig Roast Scheduled for 5/2

As first reported back in December, the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau will be partnering with five Time, Inc. publications to host the inaugural Charleston Insiders’ Weekend from May 1st through the 3rd.

The weekend-long event will feature more than 20 local experiences celebrating Charleston’s epicurean scene, shopping, history, culture, and lifestyle – all through the eyes of those in the know.

One of the weekend’s biggest events is Saturday’s Southern Living “Biscuits & Jam” Outdoor Concert and Pig Roast. The event will feature live music from Canary in the Coalmine and Houndmouth, a pig roast, a Lowcountry boil catered by Jimmy Hagood and Food for the Southern Soul.

In addition, the following local businesses will be serving their products: Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Charleston Distilling Co., High Wire Distillery, Palmetto Brewery, Striped Pig Distillery, and Holy City Brewing.

“Biscuits & Jam” starts at 7 pm at the picturesque Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. Tickets can be found here.

Saturday’s fun doesn’t end when the jam concludes – Edmund’s Oast will host the Travel + Leisure & Coastal Living “Around the Corner” Party at 10 pm. The event will include access to the custom-created “Insiders beer,” and the chance to mingle with the Editors of the aforementioned magazines. More information on the party can be found here.
