Taking Flight Comic Book Show Back at The Sparrow on 5/9 for 9th Event

On Saturday May 9th, Park Circle Comics and The Sparrow are once again joining forces to host the Taking Flight Comic Book Show.

The ninth edition of this event will feature meet and greets with artists, comics for sale, drink specials, and more. The show will be at the Park Circle bar from noon until 5 pm this Saturday.

Check-out the guest rundown:

• Sandy Jarrell – DC Comics Batman ’66, Dynamite Comics Jungle Jim, and Meteor Men
• Leigh Wells – local artist
• Tim Showers – local artist

The show is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 at the door. The proceeds will benefit the medical fund for Showers. He was diagnosed with a rare bone condition called avascular necrosis, a disease that deprives blood circulation to the bone.
