Hootie & the Blowfish Sing “Amazing Grace” with Charleston Crowd
This past weekend, Hootie & The Blowfish played back-to-back sold-out shows at the Family Circle Stadium in Daniel Island. For fans in attendance, there were probably many highlights, but one in particular seems to stick out.
During Saturday’s concert, the band started to play “Amazing Grace,” but it wasn’t long before lead singer Darius Rucker stepped away from the microphone and let the crowd sing the lyrics. Thankfully, the moment was capture on video. It’s hard not to think back to all the impromptu moments over that last two months where residents of Charleston sang the song in honor of the lives lost at the Emanuel AME Church in June.
