East Cooper Meals On Wheel Has Two Events Tee’d up for Sept

East Cooper Meals on Wheels recently announced that it will host two golf-centric events this September.

The first event is “The Ball Fall,” which will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, September 27th at Awendaw Green.  The fundraiser will include a golf ball drop, live music, BBQ competition, disc golf, family activities, and more.

The “Ball Fall” involves a ladder truck from the Awendaw Fire Department dropping hundreds of golf balls from high off the ground. The ball that lands closest to a pre-determined target, will win. Contest golf balls will be available at the event, but can be purchased in advance. The event is open to the public.

The second fundraising event will be the 17^th annual Charity Golf Classic on Tuesday, September 29th, at Bulls Bay Golf Club. The gathering will be a captain’s choice play style tournament.

Proceeds from both events will benefit East Cooper Meals on Wheels, a charity that serves meals to those who are homebound and unable to provide for themselves.
