Gallop to the 22nd Charleston Cup on 11/8

The 22nd running of the Charleston Cup is scheduled to take place at The Plantation at Stono Ferry on Sunday, November 8th. The live horse racing event is one of the most popular sporting and social events in the Lowcountry.

The race weekend kicks off on Friday (11/6) with the black-tie Race Ball. The gala includes live music, food, and a special race preview combine.

As usual, the Cup will start at 9 am on Sunday morning. Riders, trainers, and owners will chase after purses totaling $50,000 with over 16,000 spectators cheering them on.

This year’s event will also include:

• Terrier Races at 9:30 am
• A vendor village
• Tailgating
