How To Help SC Flood Victims

5611bc1383743.imageMany people are wondering how they can help support the victims of last week’s devastating floods. The following is a list of ways you can help out.

  • harborGood: A network to help match people who need assistance with those willing to help.
  • Central Carolina Community Fund: 100% of all donations goes to Midlands flood relief organizations. Be sure to note “#SCFlood” on the form.
  • SC’s minor league baseball teams launch “Palmetto Strong” GoFundMe page.
  • Charleston County:  Connecting volunteers to needs. Call 843-746-3900.
  • Coastal Community Foundation: Accepting donations to help flood relief efforts. 100% of donations received will benefit nonprofits working on relief efforts in the following Lowcountry counties: Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown and Horry
  • Trident United Way: Money will go straight to local organizations working to assist individuals and families affected
  • Salvation Army: Accepting donations online or over the phone: 1-800-SAL-ARMY (1-800-725-2769)
  • United Way of the Midlands
  • Red Cross
    • Call 1-800-733-2767 to donate money/time
    • Donate online at RedCross.org (minimum $10 donation)
    • Donate $10 by text message by texting REDCROSS to 90999
    • Donate by mail: American Red Cross of Lowcountry, 2424 City Hall Lane, North Charleston, SC  29406
