Three Area Businesses Honored in 6th Annual “Made in the South” Awards
Three Charleston businesses were recently included in Garden & Gun’s 6th Annual “Made in the South” Awards, which honor Southern artisans in five different categories.
The Cannonborough Beverage Co. was the big winner with top honors in the “Drink” category, while Brackish and Mirth Studio were each designated as runners-up in their respective categories.
The magazine had high praise for the Cannonborough Beverage Co. saying, “They set out to bring (soda) back to its more wholesome Southern roots, working with area farms and developing a rainbow of fresh flavors such as honey basil, strawberry jalapeño, and raspberry mint.”
Brackish earned the runner-up award in the “Style” category for the company’s line of feather bow ties. They currently have thirty-nine styles – all of which use sustainably-obtained plumage.
Meanwhile, Mirth Studio earned a runner-up award in the “Home” category for their wooden floor tiles.
