Charleston Residents Launch Area’s First Nonprofit Benefiting Children with Arthritis

9e7b21aa238a2f838c82aa2f0de24d8eA group of Charleston residents have formed Kids with Pain (KWP), the Lowcountry’s first non-profit benefiting children with arthritis. KWP’s mission is to raise awareness about children suffering from arthritis, provide funding for a summer camp, and assist parents and children in advocating for themselves. 

On Saturday, May 7th, the group will host their first event, the Sewee Disc Jam, at the Sewee Outpost in Awendaw. Guests can expect:

  • A disc golf tournament starting at 12:30 pm
    • Cost to enter is $25
  • The official KWP launch party at 5 pm
    • Suggested donation of $5
    • Live music
    • Raffle
    • Roti Rolls Food Truck
    • Campfire jam at 10 pm
