Kick Off Your Weekend with Music & Movies in the Park

Every Friday in August, the Town of Mount Pleasant will hold “Music & Movies in the Park” underneath the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge at Memorial Waterfront Park.

You can start you weekend by rocking out to performances from local musicians before kicking back to watch popular movies on a huge outdoor screen. The fun starts at 6:30 pm.

Food trucks and vendors serving assorted snacks will also be on site.

Here’s the schedule:

• August 12th – Space Jam and local band Weird Science
• August 19th – Pitch Perfect 2 and a cappella group The Charlestones
• August 26th – Star Wars: The Force Awakens and East Cooper Baptist Church Orchestra

Other details:

• Admission and parking are free
• Movies begin at sunset (between 8 and 8:30 pm)
• Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged
• All ages are welcome.
