Leftovers: Tidbits from the Food & Bev Community (11/18/16)
As you can imagine, Holy City Sinner gets inundated with press releases and information – especially from the food and beverage community. I created the “Leftovers” series to ensure I could share as much food and bev news as possible.
- During the month of November, Shem Creek Bar and Grill will donate $1 from every dessert sold to benefit prostate cancer.
– - It’s NovemBURGER at Bohemian Bull. Box and Jessie from 105.5 The Bridge combined their favorite ingredients to make their own specialty burgers. One dollar from each Box burger sale will go to Movember Foundation USA and $1 from each Jessie B burger sale will go to Girls Rock Charleston.
– - From now through the end of the year, SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar will be partnering with local charity organization East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) to raise money through the restaurant’s Kitchen Karma program. ECCO strives to eliminate poverty in the East Cooper region by offering basic needs, health services and empowerment programs. The funds raised through Kitchen Karma will help ECCO to provide local families with emergency support for food, clothing, and financial assistance, along with ongoing access to dental care, medical care and educational opportunities. Through its Kitchen Karma program, SOL partners with a local charity organization for a period of about six to eight weeks, and donates $1 from every featured Kitchen Karma menu item sold in that time period to the partnering charity. The featured items for the ECCO partnership include the Cranberry Spice Margarita and the Steak Skewers.
– - FILL Restaurant and Piano Bar has launched a new special. Every Thursday through the end of the year, customers can enjoy 3 courses for $30 (per person)! Guests can pick one appetizer, one entree, and a dessert. Call (843) 800- 3042 with any questions.
- In addition, FILL will host a Thanksgiving Eve dueling piano show on Wednesday, November 23rd at 7 p. It will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The dueling shows will continue Friday through Sunday at normal times.

- Ms. Rose’s Fine Food & Cocktails has welcomed a new chef to the kitchen – Executive Chef Matthew Paul.
– - On 12/3, order from any of the eleven Tri- County area Papa John’s and 20% will be donated to the local Toys for Tots. Click here for more info.
– - Join Lowcountry AIDS Services for Pint of Hope with Freehouse Brewery from 1 pm to8 pm on Saturday, Dec. 3rd. A dollar from each pint of beer sold will be donated to LAS. During the event, there will also be a “Hoppy Holiday Market.” Find that unique gift while supporting Lowcountry AIDS Services and drinking some great brews.
– - Noisy Oyster and Big Billy’s are offering the following: From Friday, November 25th through Sunday, November 27th, purchase a $25 gift card and get ANOTHER $25 gift card for free! – - Edmund’s Oast and McCarus Beverage Company will collaborate on a special five-course dinner featuring wines from the Paris Wine Company. The intimate dinner takes place on Monday, November 28 starting at 6:30PM in The Bower and is $95 per person, all inclusive.
