Trailblaze Challenge Offers Life-Changing Experience & Chance to Help Make-A-Wish SC

Take on a new challenge this year and make a life-changing impact on South Carolina kids with life-threatening medical conditions. Join the Trailblaze Challenge, an endurance event featuring a 28.3 mile hike in support of Make-A-Wish South Carolina.

“This endurance program is a symbol of the path that wish children and their families have journeyed on – the highs and lows, obstacles and achievements. It is also an opportunity for members of the community to learn about the power of a wish experience and the impact it has on the lives of the children and families we serve. It is our mission to bring hope, strength and joy to each family we touch.

Trailblaze Challenge is not a race, it’s a journey. Over 200 hikers of all walks of life have undergone their journey on the Foothills Trail that would lead them not only to a finish line, but also to a new appreciation for life, for their health and for the power of a wish.  Inspired by the courage of wish kids, they pushed through and conquered what they previously consider the unimaginable.

Now, you have a chance to experience this awe-inspiring opportunity for yourself. Join the Trailblaze Challenge for the spring hike! On May 13, 2017 outdoor enthusiasts of all levels will again take to the woods to experience a joy that can only be found by helping others.  As well as being an extraordinary physical test, participants are taking part in something bigger than themselves – raising funds and awareness for Make-A-Wish to enrich the lives of wish kids with hope, strength and joy. We hope you will be one of those participants.

To begin your journey, attend a brief information meeting to learn more and to register.  Meetings will be held in the Lowcountry between January 24th and 28th at Half Moon Outfitters. RSVP for a meeting at SCtrailblazechallenge.org.

• Tuesday January 24 at 6pm in Mt. Pleasant
• Wednesday January 25 at 6pm in Charleston
• Friday January 26 at 6pm in Mt. Pleasant
• Saturday January 28 at 1pm in Charleston
