Chas County’s 18th Annual Earth Day Festival Set for 4/15
North Charleston’s Riverfront Park will host the 18th Annual Charleston County Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 15th. The family-friendly event will run from 11 am until 4 pm.
The event celebrates the county’s environmental community by providing hands-on educational opportunities for all ages and highlighting environmental programs.
Take a look at this year’s schedule:
- 11:10 am: Event kickoff with Leonard School of Music National Anthem performance
- 11:15 am:
- Awards and recognition of the Annual Earth Day Art Contest winners
- Recognition of festival volunteers
- 11:20 am: Live musical performance by Leonard School of Music11:55 am: Remarks by Charleston County Councilmember Brantley Moody
- 12:00 pm: Reptile demonstration by The Edisto Serpentarium
- 12:30 pm: Live musical performance by South Carolina bluegrass band The Bluestone Ramblers
- 1:20 pm: Live Zumba demonstration
- 1:30 pm: Live musical performance by The Lowhills, an Americana group from Charleston
- 2:30 pm: Live musical performance by Wildflower Station
The Earth Day Festivl will also include:
- Over 80 environmental activities and educational displays
- Earth Odyssey Alternative Vehicle Showcase
- On Purpose Adventures – bubble soccer and relay races
- Jump Bunch Charleston
- Hands-on fun with specials guests The Little Gym of Mt Pleasant and Bricks 4 Kidz
- Water buffalo by Charleston Water Systems
- Local food vendors and food trucks
- Kids Zone with fun activities, interactive games, face painters, and much more.
