Fish Restaurant to be Become Parcel 32

Patrick Properties Hospitality Group (PPHG) recently announced that after 17 years at 442 King Street, they will close Fish Restaurant in favor of Parcel 32, a brand new concept. The new restaurant is scheduled to open in the late fall.

PPHG said Parcel 32 is named after the “rich heritage of the building in which it will reside” and it will “celebrate the history of Upper King Street and the 19^th century Charleston single.”

According to the company, 442 King Street was the former home of the peninsula’s highest volume bakery for 75 years. The name Parcel 32 references the original King Street block noted on Charleston’s 1888 map by Sanborn Map & Publishing Co.

There are no details on Parcel 32’s menu, but PPHG says it will incorporate “the flavors and heritage of the coastal South.”

Many Fish employees will be absorbed by PPHG’s other venues, and all will have the opportunity to reapply within the company.
