Brewer and Bourbon Launch Collaboration Beer in Charleston

Local distillery Chicken Cock Whiskey and Louisville’s Goodwood Brewing Company have collaborated to release Chicken Cock Barrel Aged Brown Ale, which will be released exclusively in South Carolina as a draft-only offering.

The brew spent a month in Chicken Cock Whiskey’s 160th Anniversary, 8-year-old bourbon barrels. The drink is nutty on the front end, and finishes with notes of vanilla and toasty wood. The brew is 6.5% ABV.

The beer is available in all Total Wines retailers across South Carolina. The collaborative brew is still a draft-only offering, available at the growler stations.
