Latin American Festival Returns to Wannamaker County Park in October
The 26th Annual Latin American Festival will be held on Sunday, October 15th from noon until 6 pm at North Charleston’s Wannamaker County Park. The event celebrates Latin American music, dance, art, food. and children’s activities.
This year’s schedule includes:
12 pm – Sharey & su grupo Klave
1 pm – Buen Ache Dance Company
1:30 pm – Capoeira Charleston
2 pm – Bakalao Stars
3:30 pm – Salsa Dance Contest with DJ Luigi
- 4:30 pm – Orquesta Mayor
At the beginning of the festival and between sets, DJ Luigi of Latin Groove Charleston will play a mix of salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata, and reggaeton hits.
When you’re not busy dancing, you can enjoy some authentic cuisine from Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, along with traditional festival foods and beverages.
Kids will have access to jump castles, crafts, and the Charleston County Public Library’s educational area at Cypress Hall.
Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for college students or those with a military ID; and free for children 12-and-under and Gold Pass holders. Click here for more information.
