Salthouse Catering Wins Award at National Fried Chicken Festival

On Sunday, September 24th, Charleston’s Salthouse Catering won one of the two awards given at the 2nd annual National Fried Chicken Festival in New Orleans. Executive Chef and Co-Owner Todd Mazurek’s Tennessee Hot Chicken dish with fermented green tomatoes took home the “Best Use of Chicken in a Dish” award.

This is the second time this year that the dish earned top honors. It also won both the judges’ and people’s choice awards at The Charleston Fried Chicken Challenge held this past winter at Patriots Point.
