6th Annual “Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown” Scheduled for November
The Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown will return to the area for two days of top-notch barbeque competition, a large vendor village, and plenty of entertainment. The culinary event will take place on Friday, November 10th and Saturday the 14th at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina and will once again be fully sanctioned by The Kansas City Barbecue Society.
This State Championship will feature a Friday night wing competition and A full on barbecue competition on Saturday. Categories includeChicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket.
Aside from the competitions, the Throwdown will also include:
- Samples of chicken wings and pork butts will be available for purchase
- Numerous food and refreshment options
- Live music performance
- a cocktail competition
- a Kids Zone
The Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina will once again host a Food Drive benefiting the Lowcountry Food Bank during the event. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. As a thank you, they will receive $5 off admission.
Friday’s fun begins at 5 pm, while Saturday’s events begins at 1 pm.
