Edmund’s Oast Exchange Announces November Wine and Beer Schools

Edmund’s Oast Exchange announced the themes and details for their November Wine and Beer Schools. Certified Sommelier Sarah O’Kelley will lead the wine program, while Advanced Cicerone Brandon Plyler heads the beer class.

Here are the details straight from the Exchange:

  • Holiday Pairing Wine School: “Holiday tables can be the most fun and most challenging pairing environment. Our class on Saturday, November 4th, at 3 pm., will help you prepare for the wine side of things. EOX manager Sarah O’Kelley will taste you through a variety of wines to suit many palates and occasions. From affordable bubbly to the perfect white to cut through holiday richness to the red that pleases everyone — you will leave with a better understanding of what makes for perfect pairings. There will even be snacks on hand to better demonstrate how these wines work with food!”
    • Saturday, November 4, 3 pm – 4 pm
    • $40 per person

  • Golden Beer School: “During this Golden Beer School, Brandon Plyler will highlight a family of beers linked only by color. The history and development of pilsner & pale malt will be discussed as well and the large impact this had on beer styles.  By the end of the class, you should have an idea of how to distinguish between Kolsch, Pilsner, strong Belgian Ale, etc.”
    • Saturday, November 11, 3 pm – 4 pm
    • $30 per person
