Home Team BBQ Hosts “Dames For The Cause” Holiday Party on 12/19
On Tuesday, December 19th, Home Team BBQ will host the “Dames for the Cause” Holiday Party at the restaurant’s downtown location from 9 pm until midnight. The event will feature six local female bartenders, who will each prepare a boilermaker and a specialty cocktail for the event. All proceeds from these concoctions will benefit Hogs for the Cause. The party kicks off with two different bartenders mixing drinks every hour. During the first hour, guests will enjoy cocktails from Megan Deschaine of Macintosh and Katie Daniel of Bar Mash. During the second hour, Avery Ulrich of Restaurant Tu and Katie Powers of Cooper River Brewery will take over. The last hour of the event will offer beverages from Ariana Cohen of Prohibition and Caroline Woodruff of Proof.
In addition to the featured drinks, guests will also enjoy a Christmas-themed photo booth with costumes and props, live music, and a raffle for prizes including local restaurant gift certificates, Edrington swag, and spirits from Edrington. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at one for $2, three for $5, and an arm’s length of tickets for $20.
Dames for the Cause is a monthly event series sponsored by Edrington and hosted by Home Team BBQ. The goal of the series is to highlight outstanding female bartenders in the Charleston food and beverage community while raising money for charity. The beneficiary of the series is Hogs for the Cause, an organization dedicated to helping families of children with terminal brain cancer. Home Team BBQ supports Hogs for the Cause each year through fundraising efforts and by participating in the organization’s barbecue competition held in New Orleans every spring.
Home Team BBQ is located at 126 Williman Street. The restaurant will remain open for regular service during the event.
