I created the “Leftovers” series to ensure I could share as much food and bev news as possible, so here’s the latest:
  1. On Sunday, April 1st from 10 am – 2 pm, On Forty One will host an Easter Sunday Brunch Buffet. The menu will feature an array of brunch favorites from Executive Chef Brannon Florie including a Shrimp & Grits Bar and a Waffle Bar, plus Fried Chicken, Biscuits and Gravy, Southern Sides, Desserts and much more. The Buffet is $35 per person and reservations are strongly recommended. For reservations, call the restaurant 843-352-9235. To view the full menu, visit: OnFortyOne.com.
    1. On Forty One and Pier 41 are now serving soft shell crabs. Executive Chef Brannon Florie has added soft shell crab dishes to the menus at both restaurants. Pier 41’s dish includes crispy tempura fried soft shell crabs, green curry coconut sauce, charred shishito peppers, sugar snap peas, baby bok choy, boiled peanuts and radishes.
  2. Morgan Creek Grill will host an Easter Brunch Buffet on Sunday, April 1st. To make your reservations, call 843-886-8980. To view the full menu, find them on Facebook at: Facebook.com/MorganCreekGrill.
  3. Head to SOL Downtown Charleston for the “Miracle of the Cocktail Shake II,” a fun and informative margarita & tequila class with The Cocktail Bandits from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, April 11th. This duo of #tequilamavens will teach you about tequila tasting, mixing flavorful drinks, and have fun recipes to try. Tickets are limited, so reserve your place to shake things up.
  4. Local Subway restaurants have launched a new program focused on teenagers’ favorite pastimes: social media and creating short videos. Click here for more information.
  5. Coast Bar and Grill is serving Soft Shell Crab Sliders – 2 for $16.99. Served with spicy mayo, heirloom tomato, and pickled red onion.
  6. 492 is offering a Fried Soft Shell Crab with Rocoto Chili and Sweet Corn Mayonnaise. Available while supplies last.
  7. The Charleston City Paper has posted a list of places you can find Soft Shell Crab dishes.
