Pitmaster Anthony DiBernardo and the team from Queen Street Hospitality officially opened the doors of its third Swig & Swine location in Mount Pleasant to the public last Thursday. The new joint, located in Mount Pleasant’s highly anticipated Shipyard Park, a 20-acre baseball facility surrounded by the beautiful Wando River, is now open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am – 10 pm. It is closed on Monday’s and Tuesday’s until further notice.

“To say that we are excited to be opening east of the Cooper is an understatement,” says Anthony DiBernardo, Owner and Pitmaster of Swig & Swine. “This project has been many years in the making.  Guests will find the same all-wood quality barbecue and personal service that you’ve grown to expect from us. I am particularly excited to submerse myself into the smoke room at our Mount Pleasant location and try to tweak some methods and preparations to improve on our product at all three locations.”

The Mount Pleasant Swig & Swine is a freestanding 3600-sq-ft building in front of Shipyard Park along Highway 41 and the Wando River. The new location, which overlooks Shipyard Park’s two college-level fields and three intermediate fields, is very ‘sports viewing friendly’ with 8 televisions inside, seating 88 diners total, 68 inside and 20 on an outside patio.

The Mount Pleasant Swig & Swine boasts a full, visible smoke room as well as a full kitchen visible from the dining room. The menu at the Mount Pleasant location is the exact same as its Summerville and West Ashley locations and the daily specials will be coordinated between all three stores.  Swig & Swine will continue to provide the same quality food and service, continuing its “all wood all the time” cooking philosophy.

“We are excited to get our third Swig & Swine open at Shipyard Park in Mount Pleasant,” Jonathan Kish, CEO of Queen Street Hospitality, says. “Through all the growth we have not, and will never, lose our focus on hospitality driven BBQ. The all-wood process will remain a core foundation of who we are akin with a happy and hospitable staff. We are still looking to add a few individuals who think the same. Hospitality-minded folks need only to apply.”

Swig & Swine hiring managers are still accepting and conducting interviews for kitchen and smokehouse positions at the Mount Pleasant location. All Swig & Swine employees receive benefits, including health, dental, 401k and paid time off. To learn more or to apply, please email info@swigandswinebbq.com
