Healthy Human Expands Product Line with New Tumblers and Stainless Steel Straws

Healthy Human Inc., a family owned and operated company that entered the market of vacuum insulated, reusable drinkware in 2015, is launching a new 12oz stainless steel tumbler and reusable, eco-friendly stainless steel straws to expand its line of stainless steel products.

 “We use 500 million plastic straws in the United States every single day, that’s more than 38,000 plastic straws over the course of a lifetime. Worldwide, plastic straws are the sixth most common type of litter. In the United States, we don’t actually have recycling equipment that can effectively recycle straws. They quite literally fall through the cracks,” said Healthy Human CEO Richard Stanton. “Since we cannot recycle single-use plastic straws, they end up in landfills and many of them eventually find their way into our oceans, polluting and harming marine wildlife. From fish bellies, it is just a short journey to our plates. We are asking people to make a switch and use a more environmentally friendly alternative.”

The company offers sets of three and five stainless steel straws. The five piece stainless steel straw set includes a straw cleaner and a protective travel pack for convenient use on the go. The straws are dishwasher safe. As part of the launch of the stainless steel straws, Healthy Human partnered with the Charleston Chapter of Surfrider Foundation and will give back 50% of proceeds made from the sales of its three piece stainless steel straw set and 15% of proceeds made from the online sales of other stainless steel products (from May 26 through September 3, 2018) with the code SURFRIDER to help support the Charleston Strawless Summer campaign.

It can be re-used for cold and hot beverages and food items to replace disposable cups, lids and straws as part of our company’s ongoing mission to offer more environmentally friendly alternatives that are better for the planet and human health,” said Stanton. “As an avid world traveler, I have seen first hand what kind of crisis plastic pollution can become if we don’t take responsibility for the way we use plastic,” Stanton continues.
