Bourbon N’ Bubbles Eyes Fall Opening on King Street

Published

on

The team behind Bourbon N’ Bubbles, a bar planned for downtown Charleston, today announced that it intends to open its doors at 570 King Street during the fall.

The new destination will feature a selection of bourbon, champagne, hand-crafted cocktails, and à la carte eats. The team also intends to center their concept around providing “customized, tailored, and rare experiences with liquor brands not easily found at other locations.”

The venue will also feature Charleston’s first member’s only liquor lockers – for private guests and corporate accounts – to keep their favorite bottles on hand at all times.

The new space will feature a high-end selection of champagnes and bourbons from a wide array of distilleries and champagne houses – including Buffalo Trace, Schramsberg, Taittinger, and smaller specialized brands. These can be paired with a selection of specialty food items from Executive Chef Steve Jackson, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience.

“We’ve…gone to great lengths to curate a beverage program that appeals to connoisseurs and novices alike while attracting a demographic that’s looking for a more refined, personalized experience where the bartenders can educate guests on what pleases their palate,” Zach Dennis, the Director of Operations, said in a release. “We believe Charleston is ripe for this new concept, and our full-bar will provide rare, high-end bourbon and champagnes that no other Charleston venue currently carries or provides as single pours.”

Michael Sanders, who brings 15 years of experience to the bar, will serve as General Manager.

The Bourbon N’ Bubbles team partnered with the design firm, Mister Important Design, which has created interiors in Miami, Los Angeles, and Dubai, to create the new location. One of the most distinctive features is expected to be the two interconnected curved black granite countertops that join together to form a circular bar with a floating shelf.

The press release says the interior will have a “modern, industrial layout interspersed with 1940’s design elements such as brass fixtures, halo lighting, and deep, dark velvet undulating banquets.”
