New Downtown Event Venue Launches Funky Friday Series in August
The Charleston Depot Event Gallery (formerly Scarecrow restaurant and Feathertop bar) is hosting the first installment of their Funky Friday series, a weekly pop-up party featuring dance bands, food, drinks, and more. Admission is free.
The debut event, being held on August 3rd, will include The Secrets, a renowned funk and Motown band.
Each week, Funky Friday will offer several small shareable plates and a special cocktail menu of five “shaken” cocktails and five “stirred” cocktails created by guest mixologists. Bottle service will also be available.
For more information on the weekly events and menus, visit the venue’s Facebook page.

So disappointed….Stopped in to see the band and was directed to the bar area, told the band didn’t start playing until 10. So we spent $80+ On food and drinks at the bar and closer to 10 went over to the band area. Then we are told all the seats are reserved and if we want to see the band we need to stand up on the side. We are visiting Charleston for the weekend and thought this would be a nice Friday night….left very disappointed… Wish we had been told up front how this worked.

I’m sorry to hear that! I would contact the folks that run the event on Facebook too. I’m sure they’d like to hear the feedback
