Places of Worship :: Ladles Homemade Soups

on

I recently paid a visit to Ladles Homemade Soups in West Ashley and had forgotten how much I enjoyed the establishment. I was quickly reminded however. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Ladles is a local chain (locations in Summerville, Johns Island, Mt. Pleasant and North Charleston also) that serves soups, chilis, sandwiches, salads and more. There are usually 10 or so standard soups that are always on the menu and then a rotating set that are switched out every month.

I decided to try one of the monthly selections – Carolina Stew. This soup boasted an interesting mix of pulled pork, sauerkraut and some spices that added a nice kick. I really enjoyed it. The pulled pork worked surprisingly well, but it was the spiciness that really took it over the edge. I also had half of a tunafish sandwich, which was good as well.

Ladles is a nice, local establishment that makes some perfect and affordable meals for these upcoming colder months.
