2018 Holy City SwimJam Benefits Operation Restored Warrior
Show your support of our country’s military veterans by participating in the 2018 Holy City SwimJam on Saturday, September 8th on Isle of Palms. The event will benefit Operation Restored Warrior (ORW).
The SwimJam, presented by the Holy City Veterans Foundation, features competitive open water swims at three distances: 5k, 2.5 mile, and 1 mile. There will also be an afternoon concert on the beach behind The Windjammer featuring Triangle Blue Grass, Natty Grass, and headlined by Simplified. Race registration and concert tickets to support Operation Restored Warrior are available at www.swimjam.org.
Entry for the swim competition is $60 for 1 mile, $80 for 2.5 mile, and $100 for the 5k swim ($25 for youth swimmers under the age of 18). Registration includes one concert ticket per entry, an official SwimJam long sleeve technical t-shirt, and swimmer swag. Top swimmers will be awarded custom mini paddles and 15-30 minute helicopter rides from Holy City Helicopter.
General admission tickets to the SwimJam concert are $25, food and beverages available for purchase at the Windjammer. Concert ticket holders will also have access to the Windjammer’s evening live music without re-admission.
This family-friendly event will begin at 9 am with opening ceremonies including the National Anthem performed by Wando High School Chorus, presentation of colors form the Wando High School JROTC and a live parachute beach jump from the Red Bull Jump Team. The open water swim will start at 9:30 am off the shores of the VFW #3137 and The Windjammer.

ORW supports veterans and their battles with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), combat related stress (CRS), physical wounds, depression and more through multi-day programs in Colorado providing them with networking, therapy and the support they need upon returning home and long after. ORW offers their programs COST FREE to veterans in need, completely supported by donations and volunteer staff. 100% of proceeds from the 2018 Holy City SwimJam swim and concert will be donated to ORW and their efforts to rescue, rebuild and restore our military veterans.
