Bring your Pooch to the Bow Wow Film Fest Saturday
The Bow Wow Film Festival, a traveling dog themed film fest, will bring the 4th Annual Bow Wow Film Tour to
Wannamaker County Park in North Charleston on Saturday, September 8th.
Bow Wow celebrates the bond between humans and canines and “the marvelous ways these beloved creatures inspire us, care for us, and bring us joy.” Their film festival “celebrates, educates, and inspires all things dog, through the art of short film.” Bow Wow partners with animal welfare organizations, such as pet food pantries, humane societies, and service dog organizations across the country to raise money and awareness. 100% of ticket sales benefit animal welfare organizations. The Charleston tour stop will benefit My Name is Milk, a local non-profit animal welfare organization and animal rescue aiming to support existing animal shelters and dog rescues in our area and beyond through fundraising, education, outreach, and fostering.
Films start at dark (approximately 7:30 pm), but entertainment begins at 5 pm. Attendees can enjoy live music by Calhoun’s Calling, a raffle, vendors, a silent auction, food, and more. This event is free of charge, but cash donations and donations of pet food for My Name is Milk are encouraged. Dogs are welcome! Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for the show.
An After Party will be held at Planet Follywood to raise more food for My Name is Milk
