Hurricane Florence: Event Cancellations and Postponements

Since the storm is almost here, the majority of businesses are now closed and events are canceled. I will no longer update this page. In the meantime, you can see which businesses decided to stay open here.

The events listed below have been canceled or postponed due to Hurricane Florence. Information is subject to change and is not complete. Let me know of updates: christian@holycitysinner.com

  • The Charleston Farmers Market will be closed this Saturday
  • Charleston Music Hall
    • Jake Shimabukuro is postponed to Monday, February 18th
    • Steven Wright’s new date is still TBD – we will send an update ASAP – there will be a new date for this show, and we should know it in the next couple of days
    • Patrick Davis & His Midnight Choir is postponed to Thursday, October 25th
    • René Marie with the Charleston Jazz Orchestra is postponed to Saturday, October 20th
  • Lowcountry Local First’s Monthly Member Mixer has been canceled
  • What If? Productions has rescheduled the opening of “Gutenberg! The Musical” to Thursday, September 20th
  • The Cigar Bazaar scheduled for Friday at The Cigar Factory has been postponed until Friday, October 12th
  • The Charleston Stage Company has canceled all of this week’s performances of “Mamma Mia!”
  • The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission has canceled all events through Sunday, September 16th – including
    • Yappy Hour (9/13)
    • The Moonlight Mixer (9/14)
    • Starlight Yoga on the Mt. Pleasant Pier has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 20th
  • Bay Street Biergarten’s Chicken Shit Bingo has been postponed
  • Alan Jackson’s concert at the North Charleston Coliseum has been postponed
  • Dominion Energy’s Charleston-area Meet-and-Greet event has been postponed
  • The Communities in Schools 2018 Leadership Town Hall, scheduled for Wednesday at the Charleston Area Convention Center, has been postponed
  • The Gaillard Center
    • Prints In Clay, Beyond the Big House Tour will be rescheduled
    • Still, We Rise! Concert will be rescheduled
    • Prints In Clay, The food of the African Diaspora has been canceled
    • Comedian Bill Burr’s two shows have been postponed until Sunday, September 23rd
    • Reese Witherspoon’s Whiskey in a Teacup Tour stop at has been rescheduled for 9/24
  • Edmund’s Oast Exchange
    • Get the Funk Out will now be on Tuesday, September 18th from 5 to 8 pm
    • Food Truck Pop-up will be re-scheduled to Saturday, September 29th
  • The Charleston Walk to End Alzheimer’s has been rescheduled for Oct 14th
  • The 3rd Annual Shrimp on the Barbie has been canceled
  • The Human Foosball, Axe Throwing, & Sour Beer Week Event at The Barrel has been canceled
  • The Folly Beach Cleanup with Pawleys Island Brewing has been canceled
  • Revelry Brewing and Mex 1 have rescheduled the “Amigose” Patron Barrel-Aged Margarita Gose party to September 26th at 4 pm
  • South Carolina’s football game against Marshall on Saturday has been canceled
  • Homegrown Brewhouse had to cancel their event with Amor Artis Brewing.
  • Atlas Road Crew’s show at the Charleston Pour House has been rescheduled to Saturday 12/1.
  • Le Dîner en Blanc Charleston scheduled for Thursday, September 13th has been postponed
