Join the Out of the Darkness Walk to Fight Suicide on October 14th
The Out of the Darkness Charleston Area Walk, which raises awareness and funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), will be held on Sunday, October 14th at Hampton Park. Registration begins at 1 pm and the walk program begins at 2 pm. The event is FREE to attend.
When you participate in an Out of the Darkness Walk, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
Thanks to walkers and donors, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
