11th Annual Jerry Zucker Ride For Hope Scheduled for 11/11
The 11th annual Jerry Zucker Ride For Hope, an indoor cycling event benefiting the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, will be held on Sunday, November 11th at the MUSC Wellness Center.
Riders will have the option of choosing which high-energy 45-minute class they would like to ride in – 9:15 am, 10:15 am , 11:15 am, or 12:15 pm. Riders have the following opportunities:
- Chance to ride alongside well-known outdoor cyclist George Hincapie
- Professionally-led stretching session by Flex-Able
- Celebratory catered brunch following each ride
- Swag bag
- Access to a kickoff party the night before
Each rider is tasked with raising $500 or more, and 100% of the rider-raised dollars goes directly back to the Hollings Cancer Center – specifically for life-saving cancer research. Last year, the event included 120 riders and raised $100,000.
According to the event’s website, “Jerry Zucker was a visionary leader, entrepreneur, and fighter. He challenged us all to dream bigger and seek out-of-the-box solutions. In 2008, Jerry passed away following a courageous fight against brain cancer. In his memory, we challenge ourselves to support both our patients and our team at Hollings pursuing the most novel, lifesaving treatments.”
