Holiday Teddy Bear Tea for Kids Returns to Belmond Charleston Place
The Teddy Bear Tea at the Thoroughbred Club is a local holiday favorite, and consistently sells out each year. Children and their adult chaperones can once again dress up and head to Belmond Charleston Place for an afternoon tea on December 2nd, 9th, and 16th at 1 pm.
Kids will enjoy peanut butter and jelly teddy bear-shaped sandwiches, scones, and holiday cookies, and can choose from hot chocolate; apple cider; whole, skim or chocolate milk; or apple juice. Adults will receive traditional tea service, and are welcome to order alcoholic beverages at an additional cost.
Entertainment for this special holiday event will include a magician, live music, and a new teddy bear for each child – plus, each family will get their picture taken by a professional photographer as a keepsake. Children are also encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal from home and an autograph book to be signed by a surprise Disney character.
Adjacent to the Teddy Bear Tea festivities, attendees will delight in the holiday spirit as they watch the custom designed train display in action. The fully operational replica of the famous Veince-Simplon-Orient-Express luxury train will surround the awe-inspiring setup of alpine villages, mountain ski lift, and more. The Christmas display will be open to the public November 23rd, 2018-January 2nd, 2019.
Reservations for Teddy Bear Tea can be made beginning on Monday, October 1st by calling Food & Beverage Outlet Manager Chris Baggett at 630-453-9241. The cost is $55 per person for both children and adults.
