Scuba Claus Returns to the SC Aquarium’s Great Ocean Tank
Christmas is almost here, which means Scuba Claus will soon be making his o-fish-al return to the Great Ocean Tank at the South Carolina Aquarium. Holiday festivities will take place at the venue from this Friday through December 23rd.
Daily dive shows in the Great Ocean Tank will be held at 11 am and 3 pm and will feature Scuba Claus or one of his merry elves. Guests can watch their favorite friends from the North Pole take a dive during the interactive show. Visit scaquarium.org/holidays for the complete schedule of holiday dives.
The big man himself will also make special appearances on Sundays throughout December. Guests can visit with Santa and have their picture taken near the Carolina Seas exhibit on December 2, 9, and 16 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. Visits with Santa are included with Aquarium admission; photo packages and ornaments are available for purchase. South Carolina Aquarium members receive a 25-percent discount.
The holiday fun extends beyond the Great Ocean Tank with a special scavenger hunt. Children and adults alike will enjoy trekking through the Aquarium to find a series of gingerbread men that will help them discover the secret location of the Aquarium’s resident Santa shark, Finzy. Interested guests can pick up the scavenger hunt sheet at the Information Desk.
