Charleston Library Society to Host First-Ever Holiday Bazaar Tuesday
Join the Charleston Library Society (CLS) for a festive evening with unique holiday shopping on Tuesday, December 4th, at 5:30 pm. The group’s first-ever Holiday Bazaar will showcase local vendors selling their wares to CLS members and guests.
When you step into CLS’s Main Reading Room, you will be transported to a magical European marketplace where you’ll find one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone in your family. Sip specialty cocktails, enjoy tasty treats, and groove to holiday tunes spun by Femi Oyediran (Graft Wine Shop) as you browse hand-crafted and custom-made items during this one-stop holiday shopping party.

A highlight of the night for local bibliophiles will be the Charleston Library Society’s first published book: Rare, Prized, and Valuable: The Charleston Library Society’s Fifty Favorites from the Collections, including photographs of some of the Society’s most precious and valued pieces in their vaults today. Also in the “pop-up bookshop” is a curated collection of books for sale showcasing the talented speakers and guests of the Charleston to Charleston Literary Festival, with signed volumes from legendary editor Tina Brown, Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer, Shakespearean scholar Stephen Greenblatt, and many more.
