Groovy! Hippie Dash 5k Fun Run/Walk Takes Flight on March 9th
On Saturday, March 9th, the Hippie Dash 5k Fun Run/Walk will be held at James Island County Park starting at 9 am. The event raises awareness and funding for people with disabilities.
Far out dudes, hip chicks, flower children, and funky fidos are all invited to don their best 70s attire as they move and groove their way through a psychedelic 3.1 mile course around James Island County Park. Runners, walkers, children and pups of all ages are encouraged to participate.
Proceeds from the 2019 event will help Palmetto Goodwill increase advocacy efforts to evoke change by spreading awareness regarding issues that people with disabilities face on a daily basis – including transportation, housing and employment. Trident Area Agency on Aging’s proceeds will be used to increase services to adults with disabilities in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
