Laissez le bon temps rouler! Folly Gras Parade & Block Party Scheduled for 2/23
The 11th Annual Folly Gras Parade & Block Party – Folly’s annual take on Mardi Gras – is scheduled for Saturday, February 23 from 10 am to 4 pm. This year’s event will feature dozens of arts, crafts and fashion vendors, live music, free kids’ activities, and plenty of food and drinks.Revelers can expect:
- The Folly Gras Parade
- Kick-offs at 11 am
- Guests are encouraged to wear festive costumes and bring their beads to spread the cheer
- Advanced registration is required to participate in the parade
- All parade participants will receive free admission into the festival
- Live music on Center Street
- Starts at noon
- Three stages featuring Dangermuffin, Sunny Ledfurd, and more
- A dedicated children’s area
- Caricatures, face painting, inflatables, and crafts
- Food and drinks
- Folly’s participating restaurants and bars will be whipping up New Orleans inspired dishes and serving $5 Deep Eddy cocktails all day
Tickets for Folly Gras are $10 and can be purchased in advance for express entry. Admission is free for full-time Folly Beach residents that have a valid ID, as well as kids 12 and under. Advanced tickets can be purchased online at VisitFolly.com or at Folly Beach City Hall.
For the safety of all event participants, animals, coolers, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and similar items are not permitted.
