NICO Hosting Special 3-Course Choucroute Dinner Highlighting Cuisine from France’s Alsace Region
On Thursday, February 28th, NICO invites guests to enjoy a special 3-course Choucroute Dinner created by French Master Chef Nico Romo and inspired by Alsace Region of French cuisine. The $60 per person ticket also includes wine pairings from the aforementioned region.
The dinner menu, crafted by Chef Romo and NICO Executive Chef Eric Williams, features cuisine typically found in Alsace, the historical region in northeastern France bordering Germany and Switzerland.
Guests will be presented with a first course Tarte Flambee with creme fraiche, bacon, onions, nutmeg and arugula salad paired with Albert Mann, Pinot Blanc ’16. The second course is a family style “Choucroute Garnie” – a traditional Alsatian winter recipe for preparing cabbage with sausages and other salted meats and charcuterie, as well as potatoes. This course will be paired with a glass of Albert Mann, Cremant d’Alsace Brut ’15. Finally, guests will enjoy Dampfnudle for their third course, a traditional dessert of sweet steamed buns.
