Stella Nova Spa, Salon, and Beauty Boutique opened their newest location in downtown Charleston’s Cigar Factory on April 15th. Founded in 1991, Stella Nova has been a leader in the Charleston beauty service and retail industry, and brings their talented team of beauty experts to their newest location.

The downtown location offers haircuts, color, and styling as well as skin treatments, waxing, and makeup services. The retail portion of the boutique will carry some of the most sought-out beauty brands including Oribe, Natura Bisse, Rene Furterer, Mason Pearson, Maya Chia, Kitsch, Infinite CBD, Wet Brush, Coola, Tocca, Lalicious, High Notes Candles, and more.

The new location occupies Suite 108 in the Cigar Factory, next to the Stella Nova’s “brother brand,” Barrelli Barber. The interior designed by Paris Evans highlights the historic, vintage features unique to the Cigar Factory while providing a modern, sophisticated aesthetic. The flexible space design, featuring art from local artists, makes the location ideal for private events and education opportunities for regional beauty experts.

The first Stella Nova location opened at 292 King Street followed by a second location on Society Street in 1997. At the time, King Street was a very different retail landscape and Stella Nova helped introduce luxury brand beauty products and services to the Charleston area.

A Mt Pleasant location opened in Towne Center in 1999 with an expansion in 2002 and a renovation in 2016. A West Ashley location opened in 2004 with a renovation in 2018. Owner Peter Evans credits Stella Nova’s team of stylists and beauty experts for the company’s success. “Making the customers happy is key to longevity and we have the best beauty experts in Charleston who have developed wonderful relationships with our customers,” says Peter.

Stella Nova’s commitment to the community is also a cornerstone of the business model with over over $35k donated to local charities, a commitment that was recognized at the Luxury Brand Partners Front Row event in Miami in 2016.
