Activists Holding Reproductive Rights Rally at Brittlebank Park Tuesday

Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic (PPVSAT), The ACLU of South Carolina, Indivisible Charleston, We Are Family, Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network (WREN), and the Charleston County Democratic Party are today hosting a rally in Brittlebank Park to speak out against the reproductive rights bills that have recently been passed in numerous states. The event starts at 6 pm.

The S.C. House of Representatives last month passed their version of a six week abortion ban last month (H-3020/SB-32). As it awaits debate in the Senate in 2020, Gov. Henry McMaster has pledged to sign the bil when it comes to his desk.

During today’s rally, speakers will share their own stories and experiences relating to reproductive rights, freedom, and access to healthcare.
