ArtStrings Premieres with Event Benefiting Non-Profit
On Saturday, September 15th, at 5:30 pm, ArtStrings will make its debut with an event benefiting My Three Sicklers, a non-profit dedicated to bringing awareness to sickle cell disease and the effects on individuals and families.
The event will open at the Redux Contemporary Art Center (1056 King Street) and is the first of a series of events produced by ArtStrings to promote deserving non-profits and their efforts in the community. The public is invited to attend and may purchase tickets at www.artstringsattached.com. Donations are accepted on the site or at the event.
While savoring complimentary drinks and bites, attendees can take part in a silent auction and raffle. Guests can also enjoy a mini concert featuring stringed musicians and recording artists. Plus, artist Morowa Mosai will create a live commemorative painting during the event.
At the close of the evening, My Three Sicklers will be presented with a check for proceeds raised, In addition to bringing awareness to sickle cell disease, the non-profit also offers support to help with expenses for treatments and funding for research with the hope of finding a cure for this painful disease.
