People Magazine: Leon’s is Home to South Carolina’s Best Sandwich

PEOPLE recently teamed up with online restaurant guide The Infatuation to find the best sandwich in each state and chose the Fried Oyster Roll from Leon’s Fine Poultry & Oyster Shop as South Carolina’s top choice.

To create the list, PEOPLE looked at reviews and recommendations from The Infatuation, along with independent diner feedback. The magazine said they paid “special attention to eateries serving regionally-inspired dishes and using locally-sourced ingredients.”

Leon’s friend oyster roll comes topped with lettuce, tomato, avocado, a “creamy comeback sauce” and chives. According to the current menu, it’s served with your choice of cucumber salad, slaw, or pea salad and costs $15.
