Press Release

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the brand behind O-Ku, The Cocktail Club, The Macintosh, Indaco, Oak Steakhouse, Mercantile and Mash, Bar Mash, The Cedar Room, and more, is excited to announce its support of the Homeless to Hope Fund in celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary.

“The Indigo Road partners and teammates have set a goal of $20,000 in support of the Homeless to Help Fund during our anniversary month of July,” managing partner Steve Palmer said. “Charleston is and will always be home and it’s an honor to give back to those in need in the city that has supported our mission since the beginning.”

To commemorate a decade of the group’s commitment to hospitable service, The Indigo Road pledges to donate the proceeds from select menu items to the Homeless to Hope Fund’s initiative to assist homeless individuals and families in their transition to permanent housing. Each of the hospitality group’s food and beverage concepts across the Southeast will select one dish and one drink to highlight throughout the month, and 100 percent of proceeds from these items will benefit the cause.

“We are grateful to The Indigo Road for partnering with us as they celebrate their 10th anniversary with a meaningful contribution to the Homeless to Hope Fund,” Sandy Morckel, President and Change Agent for Inspired Philanthropy, said. “For the past decade, Charleston has been blessed with Steve Palmer’s passion and purpose for helping others. He has made a significant impact on our city, both in culinary excellence and in humanitarian support, and this decision to help those who are experiencing homelessness transition into housing truly reinforces that commitment. I hope as you make your decision on where to dine in July, you frequent any and all of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group restaurants to support the effort. Bravo!”

Fundraising efforts are spearheaded by each of Indigo Road’s 20 restaurants, with locations spanning South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Washington, DC, and will include the proceeds from all in-house orders of designated food and beverage items. Guests interested in supporting the initiative can ask their server for the select items, check out the restaurants’ social media channels or follow along on Instagram @theindigoroad.
