Report: South Carolina is 2019’s 8th Most Patriotic State

Personal finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2019’s Most Patriotic States in America and South Carolina was ranked as the 8th best.

WalletHub compared the 50 U.S. states across 13 key indicators of patriotism. The data set ranges from average number of military enlistees to share of adults who voted in the 2016 presidential election to AmeriCorps volunteers per capita.

Patriotism in South Carolina (1=Most Patriotic; 25=Avg.):

• 3^rd – Average Number of Military Enlistees per 1,000 Civilian Adults
• 7^th – Active-Duty Military Personnel per 100,000 Civilian Adults
• 28^th – % of Adults Who Voted in 2016 Presidential Election
• 6^th – Veterans per 1,000 Civilian Adults
• 1^st – Civics Education Requirement
• 27^th – Volunteer Hours per Resident
