Tradd’s Shuttering at the End of the Month
Downtown restaurant Tradd’s today announced that they would be closing after business on Wednesday, July 31st.
You can read the full announcement from owners Weesie and Tradd Newton below:
–
We are indelibly grateful to our hardworking, enormously-talented staff who have made the restaurant a fun and joyful place to work every day. And to the many locals, visitors, friends, and family who have dined, imbibed, laughed and celebrated with us over this past year…we cannot say a big enough thank you for your support. We look forward to continuing to serve you at our sister restaurant, Fleet Landing, which celebrates 15 years in business this year, and stay tuned for other future endeavors. We sincerely hope you’ll join us for one final toast at Tradd’s between now and July 31.”
The restaurant received predominately good comments on Yelp and a glowing review from the Charleston City Paper, but The Post & Courier’s Hanna Raskin disagreed, saying – among other things – the “food is just mildly bad.” Regardless of how you rated the restaurant, you’re running out of time to eat there again.
