Local Nonprofit Hosts 2nd Annual Back 2 School Bash in August

Local nonprofit organization Every 1 Voice Matters will host their 2nd Annual Community Back 2 School Bash from 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, August 10th in Park Circle.

This community event includes:

  • Giveaway
    • 1,000 book bags filled with school supplies, four gift certificates from clothing retailer DTLR
  • Free haircuts
  • Exclusive book signing for Every 1 Voice Matters’ new children’s book Herbie’s New Home
  • Activities
    • Pony rides, jump castles, game trucks, and face painting
  • Food Trucks
  • Vendors
  • Popcorn, snowball, and cotton candy machines
  • Entertainment
    • That Girl Lay Lay
    • DJ Dex
    • DJ Boss Hog
    • Lavish Sounds
  • Speakers
    • North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey

    • North Charleston City Councilman Mike Brown

Local radio stations Z93 Jamz and Magic 107.3 will be broadcasting live from the event.

Every 1 Voice Matters is a community outreach program designed to help kids break down communicative and social barriers such as stuttering, self-esteem, self-confidence, and bullying to improve their quality of life.
